Silver Birches Cottages
Silver Birches is privately owned and managed. We have 3 cottages for rent on 1.5 acres with approximately 300′ of waterfront.
Located on Lake St. Peter; a 30 minute drive north of Bancroft; 30 minute drive south of Algonquin Park and 5 minute walk to Lake St. Peter Provincial Park..
Each cottage has their own private deck & BBQ and a fully equipped kitchen.
Shared areas are the waterfront docks and decking and the shuffleboard / Gazebo area. We have two kayaks and a canoe available for use for our guests.
Lake St Peter is clean and great for swimming or fishing. It has a surface Area 580 acres, Max Depth 94′; Fish: Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, SM Bass,
A great place for family vacations and especially accommodations for multiple families, reunions, retreats or other social gatherings.
Amenities within a 5 min drive include Linkies General Store and LCBO outlet; PorterVille Diner and HoneyDoo’s Restaurant.

From Bancroft Take 62 North to Maynooth; Turn left in Maynooth at Highway 127 ; Take Highway 127 to Lake St. Peter Road in Lake St. Peter; Take Lake St. Peter Road about 1/2 a kilometer, past Lake St. Peter Provincial Park to 458 Lake St. Peter Road

Lake St Peter Provincial Park ( 5 min walk )
The park is located on Lake St. Peter 2 km (1.2 mi) off Hwy 127. The park is 478 hectares, (1,180 acres) with 65 campsites, two beaches and two hiking trails. The main access gatehouse also contains a small store supplying minimal camping equipment, firewood, ice and rental canoes.

Algonquin Provincial Park (approx 30 min drive north)
Located between Georgian Bay and the Ottawa River in Central Ontario. It is the oldest provincial park in Canada having been established in 1893. Additions since its creation have increased the park to its current size of about 7653 square kilometres. Over 2,400 lakes and 1,200 kilometres of streams and rivers are located within the park. Algonquin Park was named a national historic site in 1992 in recognition of it`s several heritage values.
